As was now becoming the norm, United officially revealed the 2018-19 Away kit prior to the final game of the 2017-18 season against Livingston at Tannadice, in partnership with Nike and Just Sport Pro. The kit was exclusively launched by 10-year-old United supporter Flynn Carmichael, along with players Bilel Mohsni and William Edjenguélé.

An all-white “dry-fit” shirt that included subtle striped shadow across the front panel alongside the black under-arm stripe, air-tech back panel and woven club crest was accompanied with white shorts that had black flashes down the sides, and full white socks completed the predominantly white away outfit.

Continuing sponsors JF Kegs and Norman Jamieson Ltd, whose names were now displayed on the back of the shirt above and below the players number in a black font, were now joined by new main sponsor Utilita Energy, who’s logo was across the front of the jersey. A new deal with Carling saw the lager supplier have their logo added to the white shorts, with the Snug Bar having their name added to the socks in a one year deal.

The Away kit was only worn on four occasions throughout the season, making appearances at both away matches against Alloa Athletic and Partick Thistle as United once more failed to gain promotion via the Premiership Play-Offs. This was the final year of United’s ten year partnership with Nike and Just Sport Pro, after a new four year deal with Italian sportswear firm Macron was announced in March 2019.
