Match Report

Deprived of the services of both Eamonn Bannon and Paul Sturrock, United eventually fought their way into the final of this mini tournament, thanks to two late goals.

Alex Taylor grabbed the first within three minutes of coming on as substitute. John Holt put him through and Alex's shot was deflected past the goalkeeper. Dave Dodds hit the second with five minutes left when he typically nodded in a Ralph Milne cross.

Between the goals only a superb save by the Cameroon World Cup 'keeper. N'Kono, deprived John Holt.
