Match Report
There was no repeat of the scoring spree against Morton as United failed to confirm their superiority, especially in the first half when Hibs were almost constantly under pressure.
Dave Beaumont went close in 15 minutes but his shot just missed the far post. Then Tom Coyne was denied by Alan Rough at the same post. Stuart Beedie's shot was charged down after a fine solo run by Tom Coyne. A Maurice Malpas volley grazed the crossbar and then Alan Rough tipped over an Eamonn Bannon drive.
The second half was a disappointment with only a Few chances being created, mainly in the final minutes as United endeavoured to secure both points.
