Undoubtedly the least impressive of United's warm up games, with the tight confines of Glebe Park plus some sterling defensive work by the home side combined to make United struggle to create chances, despite dominating the game for long periods. The main interest centred on Dutch defender Armand Benneker. He impressed going forward, but wasn't tested defensively. United missed one gilt edged fight half chance when Owen Coyle sprinted on to Grant Johnson's perfect through ball, but though he beat the 'keeper, Conway got back to deflect his shot on to the outside of the post.
Four minutes into the second half, United finally cracked the home resistance. Owen Coyle won possession before laying it off to Gary McSwegan. He quickly played it out side left to Ray McKinnon who cut into the box and checked before perfectly chipping former Tannadice colleague Stuart Garden. Other than that, there was little else to report!
