Match Report

A spectacular back heeler by Kenny Cameron saw Dundee United snatch a late winner in Charlie Dunn's benefit game at Brechin last night. The goal was made by Young Joe Watson, United's best forward, who was also the Tannadice player behind Reid's goal which levelled the scores for the second time before the interval. Dunn's team got off to a flying start with a goal, made by Cooper and scored by Young, in three minutes. Henry equalised on the half hour after constant United pressure. The pick of the five goals however, was that scored by Jimmy Kemp for Dunn's Select, which put them ahead a second time in 35 minutes. The former Brechin player scored with as good a header as Glebe Park has seen. Dunn called on some of his pals to get a team to match United's strength and two of them Gordon Wallace from Dens Park, and Dennis Gillespie, just freed from Tannadice showed all the arts of football.
