Match Report

Youngsters Scott Smith, Charlie Telfer, Darren Petrie and Marc McCallum were recalled to the starting XI alongside Chris Erskine for the final game of the Club's Dutch tour.

NAC started the game with most of the possession and in the tenth minute it paid off as Adnane Tighadouini netted for the Dutch side. Moments later Chris Erskine forced a save and just after the quarter hour mark, Nadir Ciftci had the ball in the net for United, but the goal was chalked off for a foul on NAC 'keeper Jelle ten Rouwelaar. There were flashes from both sides late on in the first half but it remained 0-0 at the interval.

United started the second half brightly with chances for Ciftci and Andy Robertson, both raising alarm bells in the NAC defence. Ciftci in particular terrorised the Breda back line, shooting into the side netting on the hour, before he was replaced by Mario Bilate. The Dutchman nearly got off to a great start within six minutes after rounding the NAC 'keeper but he could only hit the post. It was left to Brian Graham to net the equaliser on 78 minutes. Bilate played Graham in behind and although his shot was blocked it rolled goalwards and beat Bilate to the rebound. In quite the turnaround, Mario Bilate handed United the lead five minutes later, finishing a Gary Mackay-Steven pass from 16 yards out. Substitute Scott Fraser shot over moments later, as did Spittal as the minutes ticked away to full time, ending in a pleasing win for the Terrors.
