Match Report

The season was up and running as United took the opportunity to field 24 players in the first pre-season friendly at East Fife. With the new kit not yet launched, United played in a 'Pre-Season' kit of white shirt and socks with black shorts.

The game finished 1-1 with East Fife taking the lead in the first half courtesy of an unfortunate Liam Smith own goal. United equalised on 67 minutes through Nicky Clark as Robbie Neilson took the opportunity to dust off the cobwebs by fielding different sides in each half, therefore enabling the full squad game time.
