Another blank day in the goals column, but this time also in the points column as we disappointingly went down to a single goal. In a match of few chances, it was ironic that the architect and executioner of the winner former United players. Tommy Coyne threaded through to Owen Coyle whose first touch set him up before driving the ball low into the far corner.

Motherwell didn't have another shot on target, but on o day when we'd left our shooting boots at home, unfortunately they didn't need to! As they recorded their first home win since April, we drew a scoring blank for the fifth successive outing.
