An unlucky Dundee United side was held to a 1-1 draw at home to St Mirren after a late goal denied the home side a deserved victory.
Andy Dorman’s goal three minutes from full time cancelled out Sean Dillon’s opener.
It took 69 minutes for the home side to break the deadlock, and it was no more than they deserved after dominating the game.
Dillon looked to be the unlikely hero for the Tangerines after scoring only his second goal for the club.
A cross from the impressive Danny Grainger found Dillon at the back post and he volleyed past Howard in the St Mirren goal to put United in front, and it seemed as if there would only be one winner.
However, United were denied late on when a hopeful cross from the left broke to Dorman, who slammed home the equaliser from close range to earn the Buddies a lucky point.
After a quiet start, United came close to taking the lead midway through the first half when they broke from a St Mirren corner. Danny Swanson laid the ball off to Flood, whose 25-yarder rattled the crossbar.
United then had the best chance of the half on 34 minutes when Danny Grainger’s cross found de Vries on his own in front of goal, only for the Dutchman to miscue his header wide of the target.
In the second half, United piled on the pressure and on 69 minutes, they finally took the lead when Grainger’s right-footed cross was met by Dillon, who volleyed home at the far post.
The Terrors thought they had gone 2-0 on 81 minutes when Hunt headed home, but the celebrations were cut short when the linesman flagged for offside.
Then in the closing stages, Dorman snatched a draw for Gus MacPherson’s men, leaving Craig Levein disappointed after seeing his side drop another two points at home.
