Match Report

If our performance on Saturday had not been entirely convincing, then we were made to pay dearly for another below par display against a Motherwell side now freed from the threat of relegation following the new deal that was ratified that very afternoon. Hero for 'Well was former Tannadice striker John Reilly. He was always a threat, and headed in a Wishart cross just before the interval from six yards.

Only four minutes into the second half Boney struck a shot which was blocked by his fellow striker Walker and John Reilly instantly cracked in the rebound. Perhaps typifying our evening came in an incident in the dying minutes. Paul Sturrock heading in a corner and being adjudged off-side!
