A product of the Reading youth academy, Aaron signed his first professional deal in 2013 and made his debut for The Royals a year later after impressing as part of their Under 21 squad, winning the Under 21 League Cup.
At the end of the summer transfer window, Aaron joined United on a loan deal until January 2016. He played a handful of games under Jackie McNamara before the arrival of Mixu Paatelainen. Failing to feature regularly under the new manager, he fell out of the first team and midway through December he returned to his parent club.
