Biography

Attacking midfielder Scott was signed in 2013 from Linlithgow Rose Boys Club and progressed steadily throughout his time with the Academy. Injuries and growth related health issues hindered his development, but he showed great character to bounce back to earn a full-time contract in July 2018.

Having been a regular for the U18 squad, Scott went out on loan to Clyde towards the end of the 2018-19 season, where he played regularly alongside former Tangerines David Goodwillie and John Rankin and helped the "Bully Wee" towards promotion from League 2. His form impressed new United manager Robbie Neilson, who involved him in 2019-20 pre-season preparations, playing in friendly matches and for the development squad before making his first team debut in a League Cup at Tynecastle.

In January 2020, having turned down the option to sign a new deal with United, Scott moved south to Crystal Palace for an undisclosed fee.
