Biography

Beginning his career across the road with Dundee, Carnoustie native Kevin made his debut for the Dens Park club in 2005 at age 17, and quickly attracted the attention of clubs, with offers from Celtic and Burnley rejected in 2008. Burnley eventually had a £500k offer accepted and he moved south on a three year deal.

After two seasons with the Championship and Premier League club, he was sent out on loan to Scunthorpe and Notts County for the last year of his deal, before leaving to join Sheffield United. He spent two years with the Blades as a first team regular before leaving to join Wolves in 2013, where he spent three years in the midfield of the Molineux side. He moved to Fulham in 2016.

Helping the London club to promotion into Premier League, Kevin also broke into the Scotland set up during his Fulham spell, earning the first of five caps for his country in 2018. Sadly, illness brought his spell at Fulham to a premature end during his last year, diagnosed with kidney disease. Consequently after receiving a kidney transplant, he missed the entire 2020-21 season.

After leaving Fulham, Kevin spent six months without a club, and in January 2022, after training with United, he signed a short term deal until the end of the season. Despite arriving late in the season, Kevin broke into the first team quickly and played his part in helping United to secure European qualification. At the end of his contract, he left the club.
