An experienced player formerly of Queen of the South, Dundee and Partick Thistle, as well as spells playing in Cyprus, Kevin joined United as a key member of their successful Championship winning squad in 2023-24. The following season his influence continued to be felt before United reluctantly accepted an undisclosed offer, prompting the sale of Kevin to Irish side Derry City.

Biography

Kevin started his career with his local side Queen of the South where he made 108 appearances during four years at the club.

He then spent three seasons with Dundee playing in the Premiership before joining Cypriot side Pafos in the Cypriot First Division for the 2018-19 campaign. After his time abroad, he returned to the Doonhamers for one season. The lure of Cyprus returned with a spell at Ermis Aradippou during the pandemic, before he returned to Scotland in 2021 to sign for Partick Thistle.

While with the Firhill side, Kevin helped them to an SPFL Premiership playoff final against Ross County. After leaving the club in the summer, he agreed a one year deal with United. Establishing a centre half partnership with Declan Gallagher, United's defence boasted a defensive record of only 23 goals conceded in 36 games as they secured promotion back to the top tier.

Adapting to play in midfield as well as defence in 2024-25, Kevin continued to contribute significantly during United's first season back in the Premiership, also scoring four goals, before he became absent from the side in January 2025.

After protracted discussions, United revealed that "the player and his representatives made it clear that he may be unavailable for selection between now and the end of the 2024/25 campaign" should a transfer not be agreed. Thereafter, on February 22nd, Kevin moved to Ireland-based Derry City for an undisclosed fee.
