Biography
A product of the Motherwell youth system, having their joined their academy at age 10, Allan came through the ranks to eventually make his senior debut for the Steelmen in October 2016.
Becoming a first team regular in his second campaign, he went on to make 160 appearances for the Fir Park side over five seasons, also featuring regularly for Scotland's under-21 side, before joining Luton Town for an undisclosed fee in June 2021.
In two seasons as a first team player, he helped Luton towards promotion to the Premier League, and also earned his first cap for Scotland during the summer of 2022.
Post-promotion, he moved to Millwall on loan during the 2023-24 season, and spent the first half of 2024-25 at Crystal Palace before his Luton deal was terminated early towards the end of January 2025.
A free agent, Allan then agreed a deal to join United until the end of the 2024-25 season.
