  • Manager Craig Levein included new signings Nicky Weaver, Andy Webster and Danny Cadamarteri in his line up as the curtain was raised on United’s centenary season. • There was relief for the large travelling army of United fans when influential midfielder Scott Robertson started in the Tayside derby against St Johnstone however Morgaro Gomis again missed out. Webster and Dods kept their places in the heart of defence which meant that skipper Lee Wilkie lined up in attack alongside debutant Damian Casalinuovo.

  • Last Appearance - St Mirren 1 - 1 Dundee United

United performed their now seemingly habitual late, late show to salvage a draw against a fighting Saints side. Having fallen behind to a Darren McGregor header seven minutes before the interval, substitute David Robertson popped up with a deserved late leveller two minutes from time.
