Timeline

  • Date of Birth

Dragutin was born on this date in Pula, SFR Yugoslavia.

  • Signed For Dundee United

Dragutin had played for various clubs in his home country and in Italy. He came to Scotland in 1993 and played for Dundee and Falkirk before he joined United for season 1994-95. He was not a regular in the side, and at the end of the season he was released, joining Tirsense in Portugal.

  • The build up to the new season hadn't been ideal as Manager Ivan Golac had to make his team selection minus seven first team regulars. Unfortunately events on the park were about to follow suit! Within eight minuted the Tangerines had had two players cautioned, but worse still. They trailed to a Willie Findlay goal after he volleyed a shot past Danish debutant keeper Henrik Jorgensen. United's already perilous position was exacerbated in the 27th minute when Alex Cleland, booked early on for a foul on Evans, was harshly yellow carded when he bumped into McAllister, thus reducing United to ten men.

  • In the early part, and indeed, for most of the game United were well on top, but without seriously troubling Combe until the 16th minute when the Saints keeper was at full stretch, keeping out Brewster's shot on the' turn with his right foot.

  • Kelham O'Hanlon making his debut in goal was one of four changes in the Tannadice line-up and the newcomer was to enjoy virtually a shot free afternoon with Kilmarnock rarely mounting any attacks of note.

  • Last Appearance - Kilmarnock 2 - 0 Dundee United

Skipper Maurice Malpas missed the game through suspension had to agonise from the touch-lines as his team-mates looked to have earned a point until another stroke of ill-fortune sabotaged those plans as Killie's late strike plunged further relegation gloom over Tannadice.
