Biography

Jimmy joined United in the close season of 1952 from Kilmarnock having previously played with Motherwell and St Johnstone. He was an inside-left. His only goal for the club came just 20 seconds into a game with Dumbarton. It was the winner that afternoon but the only goal of his career at Tannadice. His final appearance came at Hampden Park before being released at the end of the season 52/53 at which time he announced his retirement.
