Biography

Jimmy was St Joseph’s, making his first appearance for United as a trialist and was signed immediately. He featured regularly in the line up throughout the next season and re-signed for 1956-57, becoming the first choice again. Bury made an offer and he joined them in January 1957, still just twenty years old. After a move to Stockport County he was back at Tannadice in August 1959 but left three months later to join East Fife.
